Pauline Armsby, chair of the Higher Education Research Centre, is a member of the organising committee of the 4th International Conference on Professional Doctorates, entitled “The evolving doctorate: meeting the needs of practitioners and professions”. It will take place 10-11 April 2014 at the Wales Millennial Centre, Cardiff.
The conference is hosted jointly by the UK Council for Graduate Education and Middlesex University.
The committee has issued a call for papers.
The conference will be grouped around three themes. The organising committee encourages and welcomes proposals for sessions where delegates offer particularly innovative, thought-provoking and challenging ideas, including, for example, multi- and trans-disciplinary approaches to doctorates, widening participation and issues around practice knowledge.

- International Quality Issues
